Boat Rental FAQs

Not to be funny, but we get this question a lot! The answer is….we don’t know. Because of variables like weight in the boat, wind speed, choppiness of the water etc, there is no way we can give an accurate estimate of your gas consumption. We can quote you our current pump price if you give us a call.

While we do allow multi-day rentals, all wiring has been removed for navigation lights and our insurance does not cover night time usage.  Rental boats may be used from sunrise to sunset only.

Approximately 15 miles by water. On weekends and holidays, allow a minimum of an hour and a half to get there and up to two and a half hours back. Traffic can be VERY heavy near the Grand Glaize Bridge and under the Toll Bridge.

All boats are due back at Alhonna NO later than 6:00PM – there are NO exceptions. Should you bring your rental boat back after 6PM, the charge is $75.00 for each 15 minutes or $5.00 per minute. These fees will be deducted from your deposit.

We accept cash, Traveler’s Checks, Visa, MasterCard and Discover. Fees for the deposit ($300 or $500 for a multiple day rental), sales tax and the rental fee will be collected prior to the rental.

Absolutely not! Fire and gas do not mix!

We do not rent this equipment.  They are available in Lake Ozark and can found doing a simple Google search.

You get to be captain! If you wish to charter a boat and captain, please perform a Google search for “Lake of the Ozarks Boat Captain”.

Fishing FAQs

Missouri Department of Conservation Fishing Licenses may be purchased at the office. An annual resident license is $12.00. Non-residents (of Missouri) may choose either the annual license for $49.00 or a daily permit for $8.00/day (sold in either 1 or 3 increments). Children 15 and under and Missouri residents 65 and older, do not need a license. Please note: we accept cash or check only for payment of license (no credit cards). Just a heads up….the Department of Conservation does check our docks…frequently!

Alhonna Resort does not offer guide service.  A simple Google search will yield several results.

Our docks are bedded with cedar trees and brush to attract bass and crappie. In addition to these game fish, kids can catch their fill of bluegill and sun perch and for the very patient fisherman, a variety of catfish populate our waters.

General FAQs

We have a lakeside sandy beach area in front of cabin #4.  It has steps built into the seawall that go down to a gently sloping area in the lake.  We strongly suggest footwear of some sort as the bottom of the lake is very rocky. We also have 2 swim docks.

Please note:  pets are not allowed in units 9 through 12 and 25 through 28 at any time.  A $250 cleaning fee will be charged if evidence of a pet is found in these units.

We allow a maximum of two pets in most units. The cost is $15.00 per night each. Pets must be leashed while on the resort grounds and you must clean up after your pet. Unattended pets in units must be kenneled and pets are NOT allowed on the furniture.  Please let us know in advance if you plan to bring your pet.
